A new function of DALI PRO 2 IoT reports failures – saving valuable time and resources
OSRAM has just released the DALI PRO 2 IoT Firmware Version 3.1.13 – including a new feature to set up notifications of luminaire defects: “Fixture Failure Alerts”. This future-oriented feature enables you to connect to the local controller, either via the web-based graphical user interface or the PC tool. On a dedicated page, you can view a summary of all the failures detected in your lighting system.
Three types of failures can be reported:
- Device not reachable
- Driver failure and
- Light source failure
Provided that the controller is connected to the Internet, you can choose to be notified by e-mail in the case of a failure. With conventional lighting systems, the transmission of information is not ensured, let alone the information on the cause of the problem. This product feature notifies the maintenance personnel of failures, allowing them to proactively check the situation and prepare their work upfront. This saves both the owner and the maintenance personal of the lighting installation valuable time – and thus money.
