DALI PRO 2 IoT – Light is IoT ready

DALI PRO 2 IoT is the innovative LMS control technology for the IoT age. DALI-2 certified and featuring a controller for two DALI lines as well as a built-in gateway, it meets all of today’s requirements for professional and efficient light management. Thanks to its browser-based graphical user interface, commissioning the system is as fast and easy as never before.

We recommend to update the Firmware

Firmware updates are essential to enhance the functionality, performance, and security of the DALI PRO 2 IoT controller. Our Update Tool simplifies the firmware update process, making it straightforward and hassle-free. Simply unzip the tool, run it, and follow the intuitive steps, described in the “read me” text file.

Latest Firmware Version: 3.1.16

Online Update: If your DALI PRO is connected to the internet and the automatic online FW update feature is activated (see §5.4, webUI), the controller will regularly check for updates and install them automatically.

Save time with our pre-defined templates and drag-and-drop

Provided that the connected LED drivers are prepared for the specification parts 251 to 253 (luminaire information, energy consumption and predictive maintenance) the built-in gateway can push these data into the OSRAM cloud, where they can be viewed via the EM/MA dashboard. Authorized users have access to the dashboard from anywhere in the world via internet connection.

Select a pre-defined template

Select one of the 10+ pre-defined templates and simply drag and drop it into your “Project area”.

Assign luminaires, sensors etc.

With the same drag-and-drop method, assign devices to the template (e.g. luminaires, sensors etc.).

Store in DALI PRO memory

Once the commissioning process is completed, click the “Sync” button to store your work in the DALI PRO, which is now ready for use.

Your templates need some fine-tuning?
Pre-defined template parameters can be fine-tuned by the user via the “properties” function.

Easy access to the world of IoT

Cloud log-in/authorization

Accessing and using the cloud is safe, convenient and easy. If you want to use the EM/MA dashboard, please request access from your luminaire supplier. You will then receive an e-mail for registration and access to the dashboard.

Automatic data import

When connecting to the cloud, your data are automatically imported and stored.

Safe data monitoring in the cloud

The system creates a “digital twin” with your data within the cloud. From now on, you can safely access the EM/MA dashboard from anywhere and easily monitor and analyze your lighting installation.

Open API

You can, however, also create your own dashboard and offer your own innovative services, using our REST/MQTT API. This way, the lighting installation can interface with third-party cloud applications.

With more features and functions than ever before, the new DALI PRO 2 IoT light management system is ready for the future. The EM/MA cloud application helps you navigate, monitor and optimize your lighting installations.

The cloud services Energy Monitoring and Maintenance Assistant (EM/MA) can be purchased through the luminaire supplier.

Dashboard

The clearly arranged dashboard offers lots of useful information. It immediately provides you with an overview of the entire lighting installations within the building or buildings you are monitoring.

Energy Monitoring

Gain insight into individual energy consumption areas. The EM/MA dashboard shows the data that will help you identify possibilities to optimize your lighting system.

Maintenance Assistant

Easy and fast access to individual operating hours of the luminaires for better planning of the maintenance schedule.

Remote Access

Make changes to the configuration from remote and in a secure way, using our Remote Access service. This service saves you time and money, as you can apply changes without the need to visit the project site.

Set up the Remote Access feature

Create an account, activate (one-time action) and log in to the Remote Access service.

Log-in

Log in to the controller and download the configuration file.

Make changes and upload file

Using the PC Tool program, make the necessary changes, save the file and upload it to the controller.

Emergency Lighting

Ensure occupant safety by controlling and testing your self-contained DT1 emergency luminaires, using the same lighting controller as for your normal DALI installation.

Unlock the EL feature

The feature is freely available for up to five EL devices per controller. To unlock the full feature, please request an activation key by providing the controller’s S/N. Follow the user instructions to activate the feature.

Configure the tests

Use the Web UI or the PC Tool to log in to the controller and configure the frequency of the function and duration tests. Trigger both tests at your will.

Receive e-mail notifications

The EL feature of the DALI PRO 2 IoT issues and emails an EL report and sends out alarm notifications in case of a detected failure.

State-of-the art commissioning

  • Thanks to the cutting-edge technology offered by DALI PRO 2 IoT, installers on site can configure the system via Wi-Fi – easily, flexibly and much faster than in the past.

User control

  • More and more end customers are getting used to accessing electrical devices via smartphones. By downloading the OSRAM app, they can control the programmed light functions in selected areas intuitively and efficiently.

Remote access

  • It is possible to make changes to the configuration from remote and in a secure way, using our Remote Access service. This service saves you time and money, as you can apply changes without the need to visit the project site.

Energy Monitoring and Maintenance Assistant

  • In combination with the OSRAM cloud technology, the DALI PRO 2 IoT system enables facility managers and other users to monitor their lighting installations via the EM/MA dashboard. All they need is Internet access and a respective cloud subscription.

API

  • Using the integrated IoT Gateway and the Rest/ MQTT API, it is possible to connect the controller to third-party SW and cloud applications, to offer innovative services.

KNX

  • Use the optional KNX gateway in order to connect the DALI PRO 2 IoT to any KNX installation.
