Architectural Lighting – BoTree London
Details:
Location: London, UK
Year: 2024
Project overview
The BoTree, a luxury hotel luxury hotel on London’s legendary Marylebone Lane, is a landmark that combines bold architecture with refined hospitality. Featuring 199 guestrooms, including 30 contemporary suites, the property also houses exceptional food and beverage venues, including the Italian-inspired LAVO Restaurant and the vibrant BoTree Bar.
Inventronics was proud to contribute to this prestigious project through our valued VAR partner, Penn Elcom, who supplied our lighting solutions. The hotel was brought to life through the collaborative expertise of EPR Architects and dpa lighting consultants, with Penn Elcom ensuring that our products were seamlessly integrated into this fascinating project.
Architecture and design
A central feature of The BoTree is its ‘Architectural Feature Lattice’, a twisting bronze veil that rises from the ground-level entrance to the crown of the building. This striking element, along with façades that contrast dark London brickwork and clean white sawtooth stone details, is highlighted through carefully designed illumination. Warm, sophisticated light complements the bronze lattice, while the façades are accented with uplighting to enhance depth and contrast by day and at night.
Hospitality spaces
Inside the hotel, light plays a defining role in shaping the guest experience:
- LAVO Restaurant offers an inviting, refined atmosphere with warm tones, bespoke lighting, and a dramatic backlit feature wall.
- The BoTree Bar transforms from a daytime social space into a vibrant nightlife destination, with dynamic color-changing ceiling features and glowing illuminated details.
