At the Gatwick Airport Short Stay Car Park, North Terminal, a single-storey facility was expanded into a state-of-the-art, seven-storey building. Initially planned with a conventional wired control system, our team worked closely with our certified partner Prime Light Electrical and client to demonstrate the benefits of going wireless: reduced cabling, faster installation, and maximum flexibility with app-based adjustments.
A total of 1,400 luminaires with HubSense D4i PIR/Daylight Sensors were installed, delivering up to 50% energy savings through smart timeouts, dimming strategies, and daylight harvesting. Customised zones ensure safety and comfort in key areas such as entrances, exits, and accessible bays.

As the first wireless project with our certified partner, it has not only transformed the car park but also unlocked new opportunities across the airport – including terminal buildings and emergency lighting solutions.
