Conditions of participation

General Terms and Conditions of Inventronics GmbH for Seminars at the Light Academy (as of 01.07.2018)

1. General

The Light Academy of Inventronics GmbH, Parkring 31-33, 85748 Garching, Germany provides open seminars and seminar-like events such as theme days, for participants exclusively to the following terms and conditions (“Terms”).

Conflicting, deviating or supplementary general terms and conditions of the participant become only part of the contract if and only insofar as we have expressly agreed to their validity. For individual agreements made in individual cases, the written contract or our written confirmation shall prevail.

2. Registration

The binding registration takes place exclusively via the Internet under the registration platform

When registering via the Internet, the participant receives an automatically generated receipt confirmation message to the email address stored at the time of registration. This is subject to system errors and the provisions of Section 7 as confirmation of registration. The number of participants is limited. For further registrations we try to offer an alternative date. However, there is no legal claim. In about 2 weeks before the event, the participant will receive an e-mail with further information and the required details regarding the course of the event.

Remote data transmission, computer printouts and electronically transmitted registration confirmations are also valid without a signature.

Refusal of registration: Light Academy is entitled to refuse the registration for an event without giving reasons.

3. Seminar contents

The contents of the seminar, the location, the date and the respective prerequisites are presented in the current seminar description on the Internet and / or in the seminar catalog. Errors and omissions excepted.

4. Services

Unless otherwise stated in the seminar description, the following services are provided:

  • Execution of the seminar at the agreed place on the agreed date
  • Drinks during breaks at all-day seminars including lunchtime
  • Use of the premises of the Light Academy
  • One printout of seminar documents per participant – if provided in the seminar description – or – depending on the seminar – only available in electronic form
  • Certificate of Attendance by online retrieval

Travel costs, meals, accommodation and subsistence costs are not the subject of the contractually owed service, unless otherwise stated in the seminar description.

5. Prices, terms of payment

The prices can be found in the respective seminar description and are inclusive of the statutory sales tax.

Invoices of the Light Academy are due for payment without deductions prior to the beginning of the event and no later than 14 calendar days after the invoice date. If the participant does not pay within 14 calendar days of the invoice date, he will be in default without warning.

The participant is entitled to offsetting only with undisputed, legally established or decision-ready counterclaims.

6. Resignation by participants

If participation is not required, an immediate written deregistration is required. If you cancel at least ten calendar days before the beginning of the event (entrance to the Light Academy), the cancellation is free of charge. For cancellations received by the Light Academy up to five business days before the start of the event, we charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the seminar price per participant. In case of later cancellations, exclusion of the seminar (see section 8) or non-participation, the full amount of the invoice must be paid. The participant can name a suitable replacement participant free of charge. A partial / daily withdrawal from an event as well as partial / daily replacement participation is not possible.

7. Subject to change, cancellation by the Light Academy

Minor deviations with regard to place, date, content and trainer are reserved, as well as adjustments to the current state of technology and science.

We reserve the right for important reason such as force majeure, illness or prevention of the trainer / lecturer to use a replacement coach or to postpone the event to a replacement date. If no reasonable replacement date can be found, we reserve the right to cancel the event for a refund of the seminar fee. In the case of cancellation for cause and in cases of necessary changes, a notification will be made as soon as possible.

If a minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to postpone the event to an alternative date or to cancel it until 10 calendar days before the scheduled date of the event. In this case, the participant has the possibility to rebook free of charge and, if this is not possible or not desired, to demand reimbursement of the seminar fee.

Further claims to the Light Academy are excluded. This does not apply if we have intent or gross negligence on our part.

8. Safety and house rules, exclusion of seminars
